Job Summary:
Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports. The Accounts Payable Associate interacts with vendors and employees to communicate invoice status and obtain information. Essential Job Duties:

  • Timely retrieval of all electronic invoices and other electronically communicated AP documents to be processed.
  • Ensure expense invoices received electronically have approvals that comply with our Schedule of Authorizations.
  • Ensure expense invoices received electronically have proper General Ledger codes
  • Routinely achieve accurate and timely processing and payment of supplier invoices and other AP documents
  • Ensure employee Expense Reimbursement Request Forms that are received electronically have approvals that comply with our Schedule of Authorizations.
  • Ensure employee Expense Reimbursement Request Forms that are received electronically have appropriate General Ledger accounts referenced.
  • Routinely achieve accurate and timely processing of employee Expense Reimbursement Requests
  • Routine monitoring of unmatched invoices and unmatched receipt backlogs
  • Accurate and timely electronic filing of all AP documents to be archived
  • Timely retrieval of and distribution of requested electronically archived documents when requested

Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):

Education & Experience: Commerce graduate/Post Graduation. Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must have good typing skills, and good written and verbal communication skillsbasic skill level in Microsoft Excel.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to detail. Must be able to be patient with others, have the ability to listen and be able to work comfortably under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3+ years experience in an Accounts Payable (or similar) processing position
  • Good English communication skills both - spoken & written.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • The ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Should have a Do what it takes and a ‘I must deliver’ attitude
